That's a pretty noob question. I expected more out of a name like "rotaryguy" ;) |
Sorry bout that guys and yeah still alil new to the rx7 thing lol but it is s5 t2 3inch intake 3inch exhaust large streetport walbro 255lph fuel pump
|
Well its actually the opposite reaction you might think, The power changes less down low more up top. 5 to 7k is when it seems to really pull. MPG will also go down even more but hey its a sports car:)

Sweet thanks a bunch guys

Spend some money on a quality standalone and a good tune.... this will make the most advantage of the porting work...
also, don't quote me, but I've heard of people having issues with the porting being too large for the stock turbo somehow. |
there is no problem running the stock turbo with any size porting but like stated above the band will change. Only downfall of doing a nice size port with a stock turbo is controling boost. It will spike and be incosistant with the stocker 8-15-11psi pulls with mbc set @ 10 if I remembered my setup for awhile. this was with 30mm ported s4 wastegate and clipped turbine wheel on s4 t2 with agressive streetport.

Yep, just the opposite as street ported engines typically have less torque.
Exhibit A: http://rotarycarclub.com/rotary_foru...1&d=1273088140 This is the same car (FD, 13B-REW, B&R twins), with all the same mods on both pulls. The only difference is the first dyno run is on a street ported engine, the second dyno run is on an engine with minor porting just to clean up the casting. Which would you rather have? |
The two maps are the same?
