Need advice on waterpump and oil cooler on FC?

Ok I used a 3rd gen waterpump and the housing is hit the hood, what waterpump are you using or does it need to be custom made? After mounting the radiator I can't find anywhere to mount the oil cooler, the only place is under the driverside headlight. What kind and where does everybody mounts their oil cooler(using a FMIC)

Get the waterpump filler neck from a-spec tuning.

It's designed to work with teh 20b and FD waterpump combo.

Mount the cooler in front of the rad.

I went to a-spec site and couldn't find the filler neck for the waterpump?

This is my only option since the 4row intercooler toke up all the space around the bumper area. :D

I tried the S5 waterpump housing and it looks good but I can't use the 5rib pulley. I'm going to use the FD waterpump and make an adapter where the thermosat is.

oh ... youre using serpantine belt... i never thought about the belt difference... good point lol any pics?

I don't know what's what you're doing differently but I know a FEW people running the REW waterpump with no hood clearance issues.

Take a look at my thread, should give you some ideas about heat exchanger mounting

 I'm a newb/keyboard mechanic/oxygenthief/ and generally an asshole

Doesn't matter what 13B engine it goes on, it'll be in the same place in the engine bay unless you changed something, missed something, moved something, used hockey pucks for engine mounts........

project86 06-21-2010 09:39 PM

bah! screw the water pump! who needs em?

jamespond24 06-21-2010 10:26 PM

Remember my project is a 20B. Going to get some pictures of a custom made wtaerpump filler.
