Location: New Orleans LA
Year: 1993 Make: Mazda Model: RX-7 Milage: 105,604 Vin: JM1FD3313P0200207 Color: Viper red http://rotarycarclub.com/rotary_foru...1&d=1281215397 http://rotarycarclub.com/rotary_foru...1&d=1281409624 http://rotarycarclub.com/rotary_foru...1&d=1281409624 http://rotarycarclub.com/rotary_foru...1&d=1281409624 http://rotarycarclub.com/rotary_foru...1&d=1281409624 http://rotarycarclub.com/rotary_foru...1&d=1281409624 Howdy folks, I am selling this car for my beloved friend, the late Mark white, on behalf of his wife. Many of you knew Mark (Mark57) from this and many other rotary forums for he was a long term rotorhead since the 90's. He was a very knowledgeable and well liked rotary fanatic, right up until his struggle with ALS took his life. In 2008 DGRR was put on in memory of Mark and his love for rotaries, it was meant to raise money and awareness for ALS. Truth be told, I would be buying this car in a heart beat but the timing makes it quite impossible for me to due so :( This car is being sold AS IS and has barely been driven in the last few years. Due to this, the car has a few miner things that it may need in order to be back at 110%. I am FULLY aware of the current market value for these cars, as I buy, sell and work on them for a living. With that being said, the price of $22.5K is OBO but we are willing to wait for the right buyer. This is a non-rycE FD built buy a purest, so I don't want to see any posts about the "value" of this car because they will be ignored. We are also looking for a buyer with rotary knowledge who will not destroy it. So, no kids and NO joy rides. Please be serious about the car if you are coming to see it. This car was allways kept under a car cover under the car port. I also recommend that anyone who IS seriously interested in it, to please come see it in person. The car is a "must see" and can better be appreciated in that way. The car makes 431RWHP @ 16psi (as dyno'd on a mustang dyno) and is damn fast and strong. This car is not a toy and there will be NO joy rides. The bad: The paint has some miner rock chips in on the front of the car due to actually driving it! The front bumper where the lip meets the bumper has some "stress" lines/small cracks due to the aero pressure at 192mph pulling down on it... Mark and I might be at fault for this  The driver side door plastic isn't the same gloss black as the center and passenger plastic. The driver side flip up storage door has the hinges broken on it. The two center speaker (cheapy) gauges don't work properly. I think the car could use a new set of tires, strictly due to the age and not being driven because they are not worn hardly at all (75-80% life left). The engine bay is still VR so it isn't an exact paint match. This isn't very noticeable though. There is a VERY very small "dimple" in the hood, directly above the PS pump. This was caused by a PS bearing failure. A very small ball bearing hit the underside of the hood when it was slung from the spinning pulleys. Again, this is quite small. 5th gear synchro grinds but still works. The pipes IMHO could be repolished due to just sitting. These are all I can think of at the moment, but if I think of anything else I'll be sure to update it. This is in fact a badass 7. Wish I could make you an offer, but it's out of my price range and level of knowledge. But good luck to you. I think it's awesome that you are putting so much effort into making sure the new owner respects this car as much as your friend did.
