New to the forum...

Hi all,

Just found this forum - can't beleive it took so long. I'm on my 3rd RX7 with the lastest being a bone stock '93 FD (Canadian). Lots to learn about this generation - look forward to reading and chiming in once in a while.

gotta go - need to place a wanted ad - need a stock CD player (but I hear they are hard to find).

Welcome to the club, how is it that you've owned 3 rotaries and this is the first time posting?

How about a brief history of the other 2?

Again, welcome and post pics

My 1st two 7's were first gen - and 83 GSL and an 85 GSL-SE (which I never should have sold). The SE was a beautiful car in pristine condition - Don't know what I was thinking when I sold it. Car had 35K miles on it when I bought it from a collector in Colorado. My wife and i flew down, bought it on the spot and drove it back- that was back in 2002. I've never seen a FB as clean as that one and likely never will. Car was totally stock and looks like it came out of a time warp. The collector (an older gentlemen) had it stored away in his coral with a number of other very interesting cars. He felt at that time that it simply was not going to become the collectable that he always thought it would be (I beg to differ) and decided to sell it. Anyway, it's gone now and I've moved on.
I didn't know about this forum likely because I have been away from rotories since 1994 - just recently back into it with my FD. This car is very different from the FB's - I have a lot to learn. Car was stock when I bought it and will remain so for the most part. I just installed a downpipe last weekend and I'm now working on restoring the interior (pulled the plastic pcs for painting). Next I want to add a couple of gauges (boost and water temp). I also plan on replacing the vac hoses with silicone and and will be polishing my UIM and throttle body over the winter (something to do while it's stored away).
Thanks for the welcome -
