Looking good! So what mount did you use?

1twistedrx7 12-24-2010 09:32 PM

sorry for any confusion but i installed a ported 3mm rotors 13b rew for now while i build my 20b .
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/g...Photo-0114.jpg
I have checked for and did the proper clearances to have a little give for high boost levels and make sure that the rotor side seals ride the steels and not the rotors, and polished rotors to fight carbon build up but have one more to do !

http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/g...Photo-0101.jpg
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/g...Photo-0101.jpg

I will post pics of the e shaft.
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/g...Photo-0108.jpg

I am chafing the oil ports so that i can get oil all the way across the rotor bearings and not just the center of the bearing. What I am looking to accomplish is better oil flow for the rotor bearings and e shaft! I have done this mod to some 13b e-shafts as well that I am also considering to do to my 20b e-shaft, I am planning on removing the the spring and ball oiling mechanism. They are there for engine warm up process which is nice for a standard engine but because I plan on making high hp. I want the oil instantly so I will remove the spring and ball and install a webber 200 jet which will supply a sufficient amount of oil to key areas.
be back soon!

What up? I'm suprised I actually came across this thread. Everything looks better on computer than on your cell phone. The rotors and polished e-shaft look nuts. :cheers2:

Looking good! Hope to see it at DGRR

oh will do my best to be there. Trying to get this 20b project done! I am building my own engine subframe not that bad at all. Today I got my jig done so it will be all true with steering rack, bottom clearance and stock shifter location. I have the engine in to mock up then start spot welding then back to the jig to finish the welds. I will try to post pics once the sub frame is complete .

1twistedrx7 01-10-2011 01:25 AM

ok so the past week I have been really busy with the 20b sub frame so this is it !
first I was not wanting to hack my car and intake manifold and dry shaft.
so I installed the dry shaft, the power plant frame and the motor so that I would know where to start .I took the sub frame out and went to work this is what I came out with!

starting tomorrow I will begin the rebuild on the 20b ! so far I have done rotor
clearances and scalloped rotors!!
I will be doing a bridge port on the secondaries. steal housings are in excellent shape.I will post pics of the bridge port then close it all up. then take it all out of the mock up car and install it into my black fd and begin wiring the micro tec lt-12s thanks ! be back soon enough.

1twistedrx7 01-10-2011 10:29 PM

Definitely going to be at the rally this year Phil. If things go right we will have a couple 20b's going.

Started my partner Bobby's 20b build today also he is the master welder and fabricator behind our projects.

Looking good! Nice approach for the modified subframe. I can see how this will keep the factory rigidity once the rear portion is completed. By the way, I have a nice thick piece of aluminum on the way so I can remake my oil pan. I rather not shorten the factory one. ;)
