4 lug FC wheel Question

Ok first off i have decided to keep my FC 4 lug. I am looking around for wheels and I found some that I like, but I am unsure if the offset will work? Ive read the thread on wheel fitment but i am still unsure. The wheels i am looking at are the Sportmax 513, them come in 16x7 +15 and 16x8 +0. I am also looking at the Sportmax 002 which come in 16x7 +38. Which would be the better of the two? Or will either work?

16x8 0 offset will fit I believe with a little fender work and the +38 will fit under the fender with room to spare.

Glad to hear you're keeping it 4 lug. Its the only part I decided to keep on my SE years ago and catch a lot of flack for it.

The 0 offset wheels won't work well without modification, but they can be made to fit. What kind of wheel are you looking for? I like to consider myself a bit of an expert everything 4 lug on the FC, lol and can probably help you find a good wheel....

Something to consider, if you're ok with buying used wheels, check out the wheel/tire section of the zilvia.net forum. Its focus is on drifters and nissans, but the early 240sx cars are the same lug pattern and most of those guys run some pretty good wheels. Just watch the offsets, they also like to stretch tires!!

The 38 offset will fit fine. And don't let the brakes let you down, there are solutions for us 4 luggers too if you ever decide to upgrade them....

Yeah, it's called starting with a 5-lug conversion :smilielol5:

Stay away from the 0 offset, I ran a 17x7 and 17x8 +38 (diameter doesn't matter much as long as the overall tire height is fit properly) and they fit wonderfully especially with the factory strut/shock assemblies

What about the +15?

Custom - you can put together a great wilwood system. Not really needed unless you track your car, but there is an upgrade path. Even good pads/rotors on the 4 lug system works well for every day driving and light track use...

+15 on what width?

Offset

No

I think I am just going to get the Sportmax 002 16x7 +38 offset.

Sweet - put some pics up when they're on!
