Sweet!
|
Huh.. that actually looks like the same downpipe I had on the engine I recently got. I wasn't able to figure out which brand it was though. The mounting location of the o2 sensor is what sticks out to me... is that a normal location for FD aftermarket downpipes?
|
not sure, my other downpipe on my LHD car was installed when I purchased it. It was maybe a peter farrel downpipe. The O2 Sensor is located further down the pipe. The 02 location on this hks is the same location as my oem pipe.
|
Those BNR's look awesome... I thought though the knew generation of them never fit on RHD cars...?
WE3RX7 The stock downpipe has the O2 in the same spot, and some (including the HKS, RE-A, Mazdaspeed, and I think the Greddy(?) 80mm units) Some of the LHD car DP's have them in different spots, but generally in the same area... J. |
Dyno numbers or it never happened :reddevil:
Especially since I'm still pondering these. Actually I'd put them on the FC and take the big ass single off the FC and put it on the FD whenever that thing gets on the rd... |
Oh well - guess I'm a little closer to figuring out what pipe I have, lol. Looks good though ZGN -
TTT - single turbo on the FC or it didnt happen, lol... |
2 turbos > 1 turbo :p. I will start on that over the summer. It's either turbo or brakes before DGRRXI... which would you rather I do :smilielol5:
|
Looks good Kevin. Had a chance to try them out yet?
|
My previous FD made 360 @ 16psi on pump gas with the stage III's . These turbos are from my old fd and have about 20,000 miles on them. Last DGRR i blew an apex seal on my front rotor which also took out a turbine wheel.
Should have some new #'s posted soon. Car will be running today if I don't get a called out for work. :) |
Hey Kevin, are these the "new" generation of Stage III's or the older one's? I was led to believe that the new gen (with the extended Y-pipe) was unable to fit on RHD cars because of the clearance issues with the Steering column....
I'm going to guess these are the older gens are per they seem to not have any fitment issues, and I don't see any addition of material to either the coolant or oil supply lines J. |
I believe the factory oil/coolant lines can still be retained on the new gen turbos. It's just the y-pipe that needs to be extended.
I wouldn't suspect additional material to be added. I would rather see new lines brazed together, less chance for leaks |
The car runs!! now just need to hookup the radiator, FMIC and bumper!
I have had these for a long time, maybe since 2005. |
