s4 n/a 13b in a 84 gsl se

if the organal se engine isn't good, how hard would it be to put mt s4 engine in it's place? how would i wire it up keeping it fuel injected? could i use the s4 computer,or would it be easier just to change it to a carb? any help would be appreciated.

PM Fire85GSLSE

He had a hybrid S4/GSL-SE that was a SCREAMER.

i had a car like that too. the GSL-SE efi and intake bolt right on, and it really works well!

the only thing that doesn't work between the gsl-se intake and S4 engine are the air injection passages, so it'll never pass smog. the S5 engine goes back to the same air injection port that mazda used on everything else, so it will pass smog.

i don't have to worry about that.in ohio if it's 25yrs or older,it's exempt from emissions. i guess that would be the simplest way of doing it. what about the secondary injectors? jb weld the holes?

You can buy the plugs to block off the primary injectors, and make a new hold down for them. It is actually pretty easy if you sit and look at it for a minute.
