Forget About Weatherstripping....

I'm assuming by "complete rubber set" you mean you need all the weatherstripping (doors, trunk, opera windows, etc.)? All of it has been NLA from Mazda for years. The outer door window seals (at the top edge of the door) were available until about five years ago, but that was the last of the rubber weatherstripping part numbers to be discontinued. Meditz and I have both checked into having some (or all) of it reproduced, but the dies are upwards of $10k per part to have them made. Then you have to find an extrusion company (like Steele) to run the dies for you. Way too much $$ to even think about the project. Only luck is to keep an eye on eBay for someone selling NOS bits they have had stashed away for years or wait for the folks in Bangkok to knock them off.

If the moldings you are in need of are the rocker panel trim pieces, I *might* be willing to let go of a set in decent shape. Email me directly.

Neal.

Steele wants absolutely nothing to do with this project at this time their thought no money in it. There is the possiblity of small companies that might be able to do them where it is a molded rubber piece but this is a rather crude way of doing it. As for ebay... I RECOMMEND IF IT HAS BUY IT NOW USE IT, or you run the risk of coming up against Neal and I bidding against you for it. Nothing personal I have 8 Cosmos in my collection so rubber is very important to me, Neal and I argue over parts all the time but have managed to remain friends so far, even though we sometimes frustrate each other.:cheers2:
