Hello to all. I am new to this site but I have been a fan of FD's for some time now. I am looking at a 94 FD right now but I won't be able to purchase for about two weeks. My roommate (FDrx728) has a 93 FD and is the main reason I fell in love with the 3rd gen. I won't :beatdeadhorse5: but I hope to seek knowledge and learn more than I have about what we all cherish so much!!!

if your looking into owning an FD RX7 or really any rotary car your best bet is to learn AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE about them first. Having a friend with one is a great start because your friend can likely tell you how expensive and demanding a car they can be. Being an older car and one that requires so much maintainance expect to be replacing stuff quite a bit, and lots of shit breaking. Many people spend more time with their RX7 down than actually driving they say on the forums but I also believe that is because so many pick these up without really knowing what they are or that they will be an expensive car to have. In the pursuit of making my FD reliable and powerful ive invested about 19k in parts alone for a build thats going on right now, granted i've also spent on quality parts but havent gone for as expensive parts as some do. The up side to these cars is they are a blast to drive and when they are running right its amazing. Ive owned an STi with 20k in mods and an R32 GTR Skyline and I still think the FD RX7 is the most fun car ive driven hence the reason im back in one. Reliability mods are a must. Thank you for posting. I am now just over two days away from owing my very first FD. Thanks to my room mate and another local FD owner I will be heading south for my first purchase. I don't know how anyone can handle the wait! It seems like the time can not go by quick enough..... :( I am experiencing lack of sleep and extremely nervous with every second that passes. I only hope that we have found the right FD at the right price!!!! I will be checking the link you sent me asap and I thank you for the information. You can never have to much knowledge. I have much to learn but I guess the snow will cause me to study before I can enjoy my FD. Please wish me luck and safe travels.

Well after 179.4 miles of enjoyment..... We hit the biggest and worst snow storm of the year! Thankfully we were smart enough to have a full size car trailer for the 700+ mile trip one way. It is a trip that I will never forget even from the first gas station we stopped at. The amount of people I could see gazing at the beauty behind the FD. To driving the last 90 miles and taking four hours to get through the last part of our journey. We felt like we were on Top Gear when we stayed at the biggest ":9898:" $48 tax included room a night that can only be paid with in cash.... All in all I am now and officially an owner of a 94 FD it only took me five years.
