Corksport oil cooler line issues
Ok so like alot of 2nd gen rx7's my oil cooler lines were pretty leaky and needed replacing. after reading tons of good reviews I went with the corksport SS lines. the bottom line bolted up and fit just fine as it should. but the top line that goes to the back of the engine will not fit without twisting it at a 90 degree angle. this causes a huge kink in the line and Im afraid it will puncture it as well. the banjo fittings on the line are in line with each other but need to be mounted at a 90 so it can connect to the cooler and the engine. is this an issue only I am having? or is this just how they come? anyone have any pics of how they have their corksport lines installed? any help is appreciated as ive been fighting it all day.

Post up a pic, I'm curious how yours sits currently. I had no issue with my RB lines, I believe that my upper line had swivel 90s at both ends. I'd like to see what yours look like.
I'm guessing these lines are crimped solid and the banjos and are not designed to swivel? If that's the case, maybe you got a defective kit that wasn't assembled correctly? http://www.corksport.com/images/deta...oler-Lines.jpg |
it will kink slightly but it isn't an issue but 90* is overkill, you should not need to be mounting the oil line so that it points directly towards the frame.

I think I may have figured out the issue. The lines are mounted backwards. when I took the stock lines off the top oil cooler line was ran to the rear of the engine and the bottom line was routed to the front cover. not being rx7 savey I just assumed this is how they should go. gonne flip them tonight and they should line up fine... Odd. I'm surprised they even reached that far. The top one is considerably shorter.
