4 seater first gen

Is there a such thing as a for seater or back seat firts gen rx7. I have over heard talk that they do exsist. Just peaking curiosity becaise i have a family amd would love for them to be able to share my passion for the rotary world

They came with a back seat in the Japanese market. Pretty much useless from what I hear, but they did it for tax purposes. The four seater was considerably cheaper to register than a 2 seater.

Thats good to know i figured hay there wouldnt be much to them as there is no room. I gues its just a good excuse to the wife to buy another rx7 amd teach her to drive a stick

Need to know anyway. Get her out on an AutoX circuit, hooked for life. Be prepared to give up driving your car, and spending most of your time fixing it for her.

Lol its funny you said that before she baught her suv we had a 350z and she did the auto cross and needless to say she loved it but yeah im about to scoop up another 83 gsl and start getting her into it

The rear seats are useless they are just like Porsche 911 seats, they will hold a small dog or a small bag thats about it. If your looking for a car that does have a rotary and hold 4 people you would need a RX-2,3,4,or 5 they are actually coupes, or sedans and even some came as wagons.

or an RX-8 ;)

Oh yea , I forgot about those, I even tried out the back seat when I test drove one. LOL

the good part about the rear seats is that your car insurance goes down , its now classified as sport touring rather than a sports car (like they did for the porsche 928 ) They are useless but they look pretty cool .

We wouldn't want our resident 8 balls to be offended that their cars weren't included in a list of four seater Mazdas. :)

Here are some pictures of my australian rx7 4 seater with rear seat up, it can also be folded down.
Your children best be under 13y.o of age to fit comfortably in the rear.

Reclaimer Auto 12-31-2014 10:56 PM

You can fit a 8yr old in them lol
