Good brake rotor for daily use?
 
Need to replace the brake rotors on the FB with the FC subframe. Its my daily, but still would like something "decent" and not a Chinese autozone warp-o-matic.

Last time I did a major brake overhaul 4 years ago, I picked up a set of Brembo stock replacement rotors for all 4 wheels via Tirerack.com. Been very happy with them. No warping, and very minimal wear to date despite lots of hard driving and 4 trips to DGRR. I've paired these up with Hawk HPS pads. Here's a link to the front rotors:

Apparently Tirerack no longer carries the rear rotors, and the price went up about $10/rotor since I purchased, but you should be able to find the rears elsewhere.

I have used cquence rotors on both my eight and one of my sevens. I have the dimpled and sloted. So far I haven't had any issues with cracking or warping. Just a few trips down the dragon and interstate miles. I highly doubt they use anything but chinese blanks but now days it is next to impossible to find anything else.

prices aren't too bad either

No reason to go drilled / slotted / etc. on a street set-up, unless you just like wearing down your brake pads faster.
Non-drilled, non-slotted actually give you better brake performance due to more brake rotor surface area.
Only if you're the type hey-look-at-may-cool-brake-rotors, then get those things...

I try to get Brembos is possible - I believe they are made down in South America nowadays?
Some of the aftermarket OEM replacement are actually rebadged Brembos - forget who does this though...
The guys in The Lounge were talking about StopTech being crap nowadays, so I see no reason to recommend them.

yea i was reading about stoptech in the lounge, but i didnt really see any "proof" or "reason"

the brembo blanks are a pretty good price though and that sounds like a good way to go. For the rally car (also needs brakes done, ill likely opt for something slotted. Helps clean water/dust/mud.

+1 for brembo solid.

if you want anything eye pleasing i would get slotted only.

almost everything made in large quantities is outsourced to third world countries now, you just have to find the ones with the best track record.
