carb problemss
 

Alright so ive finally got the car turning over and cranking but ive pulled a carb off a 1983 rx7 and it looks as though the secendarys arent opening up to dump the gas since theres gas sitting in the bottom of the carb as long as I keep my foot on the gas it works fine revs and everything just wont idle at all. This morning I replaced the carb base gasket and notice a difference with that but ive also noticed the rev meter on my dash isnt working either. Not sure if its intertwined or not but certainly need help with pin pointing this problem.

Did you rebuild that carb before plunking it on there? Check for vacuum leaks as well. The
secondaries are vacuum actuated unless modified.

I discovered today while I was at work I didnt have one of the cables running to the carb tight enough so I got home and tightened it up and boom it idols now lol I have the carb pretty well vacuum tight cause im only running brake booster and distributer on the nikki so sounds as though its idoling kinda high so I got sum more fine tuning to do I think.
