Except for the Gurney Eagle Toyotas, which destroyed all comers before and after the single year the 792 was campaigned. The Jag was the only thing that could match the pace of the Eagles, but was terribly fragile and unreliable. While it's, in the opinion of many, even non-rotorheads, the prettiest GTP car ever built, and make fantastic noise, the 792 was an underdeveloped, underfunded disaster of a program. |
