If you were down here, people will start a bid war over your asking price for this thing...

2wd so no one up here would even consider it.....
I did until I saw 2wd :( |
Doesn't matter down here...
Plenty of wannabe's... Lots of Pre-Runners running around - I think the Toyota salesguy even said that the Pre-Runners outsell the 4x4's due to: 1) insurance 2) better gas mileage This vehicle could sell as high as $15k down here. Toyota trucks and SUV are insanely priced... Check out: http://honolulu.craigslist.org/ "2004 4runner" search: http://honolulu.craigslist.org/searc...eaAbb=honolulu -Ted |
I love my 2005 limited 4x4 with V8 for ToRQUe!
|
I'll trade you some engine parts and buy you lunch for this :)
|
Yeah, the 2wd limits the market on it, but in Tennessee, it doesn't matter.
I wish it was a 4x4 just because the Traction Control is SOOOOOO intrusive. V8 torque+anything slippery=complete shutdown of power to the wheels........and if you turn it off, its turns itself back on as soon as the tires start to spin, or you hit 20mph. I've already had alot of action on it, a guy is coming by today to check it out. |
Hold ETC button for 5seconds.
|
Doesn't work. Not an RX8.
|
Then the car with wavy lines button. Works for 07tundra both 11 4runners and an 03 and 14 highlanders.
|
Doesn't have that either. It has 'Trac Off'. Which operates as stated above. A very good friend of mine was a Toyota Master Tech (now a Lexus Master Tech), and I asked him how to shut if off completely.
His reply was: Open the hood and unplug the green connector on the electro-boosted master cylinder. You will have no ABS, no Traction Control, and no Stability Control. The negative side is, when you plug it back in, the system might 'freak out' requiring it to be brought in to re-synch all the sensors. Fuck that. |
Oh Trac all.....
The 2wd is supposed to have the switch but you can either overheat it or wire in a switch. The switch is wired into the sensor that shuts it down if it overheats and turns it back on when temps drop. Fancy switch.... http://m.ebay.com/itm/like/251595387532 |
