low tire pressure light but no problem with tire pressure
I have had this light come on and off for months now even after getting new tires (which were badly needed, i was driving on racing slicks:001_005:
I would like to know if this could be the sensor or fuse that controls it. If so, where the hell is it so I can replace it??? |
The sensors can fail. There is also a battery in them that can go dead. You need a new TPMS. Good news, they are about half the price at a place like Discount Tire.
Do you know where it's located at? It sounds like a really quick fix!
It is the valve stem itself. On the inside of the wheel is the TPMS unit. You can't do it yourself.
Ambient air temperature fluctuations change the psi in your tires, especially this time of year.
If the pressure drops below 27 psi on one tire or there's a 5psi delta, it will illuminate. So Jack them all to 35 and see what happens.
^is right though, I set mine ~30psi so first thing in the morning my light is generally on. Gotten, after getting on there highway the light is generally off :D |
