Are you going to do something with the door skins as well? That Australian one looks a little odd... modern dash with old-school door skins.

foam and fiberglass, then upholstery |
you need to go step by step with this please. my buddy is doing a rhd swap on his fd and is willing to give me the parts needed.
i would most likely use the cluster area only then build the rest , they way you have it mocked up now, do you have any problem seeing where the gauges will be. also as a side note. how do i get a mph gauge to work with a sa tranny |

To get the FD cluster to work you need to "feed" it with the correct inputs. I´ve been over the diagrams and some FB sensors can made to work, while others need to be replaced (oil press for example). To get the speedometer to work, you have to make one piece out of the tranny output of the FB (mech) and the on of the FD (speed sensor) Then you send out the dash to get re-calibrated. Everything seems to fit. No cutting needed |
i havnt looked at a fd cluster in a long time could i use it to hold after market gauges.

They would fit |
Once you do the door skins, that should be one insane interior. I like the way the FD's interior was setup (even if quite a lot of it was cheaply made). It should definitely look good inside the FB so long as the rest of the interior is modernized as well. I can't wait to see the finished product.
