I know this is short notice but we are teaching a permit class Saturday the 28 at the 2604 Thompson Station church in Springhill, TN. We are having class there and convoying to the outdoor range after. Class starts at 8 a.m. sharp!!! bring your 21+ valid drivers license, 150 rounds of ammunition, a holster, a handgun over .22 caliber and a 80 dollars for the class fee, eye and ear protection will be provided. If you do not have a handgun we will let you borrow one of our .40 caliber Glocks free of charge. If you have a felony or a domestic misdamenor please dont apply. Class is taught by a metro swat officer with I and a couple instructors will assist.There will be time after class to shoot the fun stuff if intrested. What is the exact address? I googled and there were a few different churches in the area. Or what is a main Rd. that is on the way, that may spark my memory.

the name is thompson station church its on the main road going thru spring hill 2604 thompson station road......it'll be in one of the portables if construction isn't finished yet but there will be signs leading to the class rooms

Dammit. I will be in Chattanooga on my birthday (the 28th).

Well unfortunately the schedual has already been made and I have to be at work at 3pm. Will this be a problem? What is the estimated time the class may end?

theres one bout every month....no need to worry i'll post the schudule for 08

zach classes are bout 8 hours long.....i dont think it will fit your schedule but you can catch the next one

Update us on the schedule!! I have alot booked for the next two months, but I might get lucky next month and be able to get in!!

Is that a requirement up there? I just went down years ago to the court house here in AL and applied for a concealed license permit. $10 each year since that. I was told once that TN would honor it if I was caught with one while there??

yeah alabama's reciprocity law also applys here...but IMO i think its bullshit you can go and pay a court house ten bucks to get a permit without educating the permit holder about the gun safety and carry laws in the state or the states that honor theirs...I would feel more comfortable with a person with some kinda knowledgable bout safety and ettiqute...but if thats the laws down there so be it...and TN does not require it to be concealed...but you'd be a fool not to. If you leave it open you will not be accepted by the public, you will be stopped by officers and possibly be slapped in the back of the head for being a dumbass, and for instance you are at a stop n rob (conveinence market) you will be the first target...its the element of surprise to the subject and can cause you to not be a statistic.But dont take any offence to any of this I'm just speaking in general and I love to educate people on how critical personal safety really is nowadays.
