DRTHVDR 07-09-2008 08:31 AM

I wondered what ever became of that article. Now I know. I hope next year will finally be a successful trip for me. 3 years in a row and every year a failure.

Whizbang 07-09-2008 08:42 AM

i might make it out next year as well.

classicauto 07-09-2008 09:28 AM

can't wait for '09!

I'm with DRTHVDR too, no failures for me this year!!! (although they didn't happen until AFTER the dragon, I was much further from home when they did!)

DGRR BABY!

Herblenny 07-09-2008 09:52 AM

I'm More prepared for next year... We'll be doing videos, photos, etc...

DRTHVDR 07-09-2008 10:03 AM

What ever happened to all those car mounted video's from 2007? I'd love to see those.

Herblenny 07-09-2008 10:06 AM

Few are on Youtube..

classicauto 07-09-2008 10:37 AM

Yeah I think goodfellaFD3s has one floating around, pretty neat.

I found video's of the gap make it look MUCH easier to drive then it really is - still very cool though.

Herblenny 07-09-2008 10:44 AM

I've been looking for a wide angle DV camera... I wished I could use my Nikon lense to shoot video.. dang!

All the videos on youtube make the actual speed appear slow. We know how fast we're actually going but to the casual observer it looks painfully slow.
Just imagine how slow the video's are when someone is stuck behind a stupid Harley. Those WANNABE's should just get out of the way.

Herblenny 07-09-2008 12:15 PM

Yep! that's why i'm looking for wide angle camera.. makes it look faster.. or I need to raise the camera up!!
