This is the "Official" RCC 1/4 Mile ET List. There will be a "Top 25 Overall", and multiple classes/divisions with unlimited length. If you have any suggestions, please e-mail/PM me.

To get on the list, post up (either here or in a new thread) about your racing, with a scan or picture of your timeslip, a description of your car and mods. That's it! While a "complete" isn't necessary, it is encouraged! At the bare minimum I require Year, Make, Model, Engine Type/Model, port work, transmission, tires, and major mods (nitrous, turbo, blower, etc).

In the "Spirit" of being a true "RCC" 1/4 List, we'll only accept new times. So right now everybody is on the same "level", so go race!

The point of this list is to encourage a camaraderie amongst each other over the cars we love. Be helpful, be supportive, but most of all, HAVE FUN!

Keep it safe, keep it on the track.

My current best time is a 10.92 @ 128.49. I don't have a scan of the time slip handy, but here is the vid on youtube, should be more than enough proof.

My best 60' is a 1.52. I can dig through my time slips, i think i have more than one that has it, but here is a vid, even though there isn't any proof that i pulled a 1.52

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=coxy4dOVI64

I also ran a 9.89 @ 69 in my n/a FC in the 1/8th which transfers to a 15.44 @ 86.50. I think i still have a scan of that run too, but i will need to find the time slip, its been years.

EDIT: I just realized only new times are being accepted, looks like i'll have to wait until the tracks open back up.

Way to go P71. I just let theb other ones die out so the other lists die out so this will be the only one :)

P71 02-29-2008 04:10 PM

zinx,
Yeah, since we're a "new" club/forum, I think it's best if we only accept "new" times. Absolutely AWESOME runs you had though!

Just a point of clarification though, the timeslip isn't really for "proof" as much as it's for reference. It's nice to see what track and all of the intervals on the slip, and most tracks have weather information on the slip as well.

85rx-7gsl-se,
Thanks! It's going to be awesome having a regularly updated list. So when can you go and get some times? ;) I'm looking at the 8th at PIR (Portland International Raceway) depending on weather.

85rx-7gsl-se 02-29-2008 04:37 PM

I hope to by mid April. Main thing right now is to get my motor rebuilt and broke in for DGRR 08 :D Plus, I live about 2 hours from the closest 1/4 mile track. Everything around here is 1/8 :(

P71 02-29-2008 04:49 PM

We have a conversion calculator, so don't let the 1/8 stop you ;)

PIR had a "Grand Re-Opening" last weekend, but there was no prep done, so it was kind of slippery! The "Official" opening is next weekend, the 7th/8th.

zinx 02-29-2008 05:09 PM

1/8th mile is 1/2 the distance and 3/4 the fun. I like running 1/8ths sometimes. The launch is the most important thing anyway.

85rx-7gsl-se 02-29-2008 05:20 PM

1/8 mile isnt too bad. 1/4 mile is more fun, but I seem to break more stuff on 1/4 mile runs than 1/8th :D . The 1/8th mile is pretty decent for heads up street car runs though which is what I run in my 7 mostly.

P71 02-29-2008 06:20 PM

1/8 mile can be fun. I'm lucky and have a great 1/4 mile track 45 miles away ;)

I can't wait till spring!!!!!!!! This is going to be fun :driving:.

Thanks for taking charge of this P71, i think this is going to be a great addition if you keep it up :icon_tup:.

P71 02-29-2008 06:51 PM

Hey thank YOU for the support! I can't wait to see some new times from your car, the videos are AWESOME!

13B-RX3 02-29-2008 07:13 PM

Thanks, I'll start a build thread when the rest of my engine parts show up!!!!

85rx-7gsl-se 03-04-2008 10:42 PM

My only issue with 1/8th mile times is because my car is turbo'ed, it pulls harder the second half of the track...therefore while my 1/8th mile times suggests ~13.8, my real 1/4 mile times put me at 13.39....We will see what a streetport and a bigger turbo will do :D

P71 03-04-2008 11:04 PM

It's not perfect, but it's better then basically leaving out all of the guys who only have access to 1/8 mile tracks.
