my car starts but runs poorly

my car starts up and everything but dosent keep idle and when i drive it it starts to bog and loss power at 4000rpm anybody got suggestions

what kind of car is it? does it have any modifications? what exactly is it doing? the idle thing could be a loose vaccum. About the 4000 rpm it sounds like a transition problem since its happening arround where the secondaries kick in. my advices are check your compression on the engine and make sure you have compression on all faces on both rotors, check all your vaccum hoses and get you some starting fluid and carefully and without loosing your eyebrows!!! spray it arround your engine to check for leaks. You will know where the leak is at because the acceleration in the engine will change and run some nice thick ground cables from the shock towers to your engine to see if this help with your hessitation problem. not sure if available on this forum but do a search for 3500rpm hessitation and you'll find what your looking for.

Good luck

the car is a 88 n/a with 93k miles we just changed the plugs and the car starts up fine its just dosent want to stay idle when first started it stays after a while of running. for the 4000rpm part it sputters and starts to bog out but still goes and picks up rpm slow like just sputtering and stuff i dunno how to xplain it maybe if i can ill post a video or sound or something to let u guys know if i know how lol

Secondary injectors are located on the top of the first bend on the Upper intake manifold. The two injectors located on the outer edges of the runners.

The primaries are buried under the UIM and the UIM will need to be removed for you to gain access to them. Happy hunting!
