Pre-silencer Q's

So it just dawned on me that I am running an N/A Racing Beat Pre-Silencer on my TII. I know that it HAS to be hurting performance.

Right now my exhaust set-up is:

RB 3" DP-->RB Pre-silencer (N/A)--> Apexi N1 EVO catback.

This catback has a 'silencer' (more like expansion chamber) built in before the muffler, right after the connection at the silencer. Should I ditch the silencer all together, or get the RB turbo Pre-Silencer.

I do not want it to be too loud, but I also don't want to choke it anymore.

Anyone with a sound clip with this set-up would be great.

You would think the way it is with that pre-silencer, your car is quieter than most.?

ditch the presilencer...replace it with a Borla XR-1 muffler. I wish I had a sound clip, but it has a straight flow design so it doesn't choke the motor. Plus it gives the rotary sound a very clean with a nice deep tone.

My FC is a amazingly quiet with the set up I have now. But I am worried I am taking a loss on performance.

I would use the XR-1, a friend of mine has one as a silencer on his turbo 6 port with an RB catback. It makes it sound a little odd, but that might be because of the RB system. I might see if we can put it on mine and see how it goes.

Dyno it now and when you remove it.

I don't think the noise to HP ratio will be worth it.
