1984 RX-7 GS With 78,000 Miles For Sale

Location: Denver, Colorado

Asking Price: $2,200

General Description:
This is a stock 1984 GS (12A engine) with the 5 speed manual transmission. The car is in good condition and was repainted in 2000. I originally purchased this car in Texas from a SCCA official and have raced in SCCA sanctioned autocross events off and on since 2000 (both in Montana and Texas).

This car is drivable (it was my daily commuter throughout the Summer) and recently passed an inspection in Colorado (this included an air quality test). This car is being sold to make room in the garage.

Other Features:
Sun Roof
Radio from GSL (with equalizer)
Original factory repair manual

Parts that I have replaced (year of replacement in brackets):
Racing Beat exhaust [2000]
Alternator (replaced with a more powerful one for the second gen) [2008]
Radiator [2002]
Brake booster and master cylinder [2006]
Rear speakers

I'm curious as well.

Ooops. That's a typo. That should be a five speed.

1984 - Answer to question

Sorry about the delay. I took a new job in February and have had my head down since then.

I've never had trouble with this car on long trips. I drove it from Dallas up to Bozeman Montana a few years back and down from Helena Montana to Denver in August of 2007. Coming back it happened to be one of the hottest days of the year (it was 109' in Sheridan Wyoming when I drove through). RX-7's run hot so with that high of an outside temperature I just had to keep an eye on the temp gauge and turn off the A/C every so often to keep that temp down.

The alternator is new (replaced last summer).

Does that help?

Thanks,

Joe
