Is this Exhaust any good?

Here:

so, I was just going to have a ghetto rigged exhaust done at the local muffler shop, but then when my friend told me how they will probably charge me closer to 150 than thr $40 that I was originally hoping for, I decided anything would be a better alternative.

So, a while back I saw that OBX (cheap chineese knock off company) actually makes a somewhat quaility 2.5" stainless steel setup with a steel wool muffler. It seemed to look like a system that would last quite well, but then I found this used apexi unit just now.

Question is, should I get it? The price looks alright, and the location isn't terribly far away, but it is used... also I cant quite figure out if this unit mounts to the stock main cat or to the downpipe?

What do you guys think?

A used Apexi exhaust is better then any knock offs. You would be buying an authentic piece.

Do you want a used Ferrari or a new Kia?

Haha, that's funny as hell/\!

Well, I guess I am going to see how much shipping is!

A good custom exhaust setup is going to cost more than $150. My shop charges closer to $600 for a full dual catback setup.

dude, who bid on this? The point of posting it on here was so that people would be nice and not do that... shit, I knew this would happen, too! lol

I paid the same price it is at now (around 200+) and mine is in WAY better shape, and included a downpipe and cat pipe.

Keep looking around for a better deal, that one looks crusty.

Just buy JDM for your car. The 7 deserves that.

Wow, your shop is a rip off. Over here in Ky, if you provide the mufflers, a turbo back 3 inch dual exhaust for a twin turbo 300ZX is only $180. A friend had a full custom exhaust made, 3 inch from each turbo back.

I need to get working on my cars. My Cutlass will be going away if I can get a hold of this other prospective that I've found.

How does it sound? Loud or mellow? Raspy?

Max777 02-01-2009 11:51 PM

Well, since I've been redoing some stuff, the exhaust is still not bolted up, and the intake manifold is off. (omp removal and harness re-wrap)

Anyway, I will be sure to post a sound clip/ video once I get the car running again.

Hurry up and get on it haha!
