Injector upgrade

I wanted to know if it was necessary to upgrade the fuel injectors after installing a new fuel pump? For instance a Walbro 255 pump.

Apexi intake, DP,MP, CB, PFC, SMIC...stock twins, no porting.

No... Unless you have certain power range and boost.

dregg100 01-13-2009 12:35 AM

like mentioned above, how much power do you want?

i'm hoping for the 400hp range....

to get in the 400hp range at the wheels you will def. need larger injectors than stock.

Herblenny 01-13-2009 12:14 PM

400 RWHP stock turbos?? 400 at the engine is about 320-350 @ the wheel. At low to mid 300s, you might be ok with stock injectors but recommend to go bigger..

400 RWHP, I say its not good to try with stock twins. You could go with BNR stage 3 (BNR is local) or go single. But not with stock turbos.. Also, you would need a good tune when you get injectors swapped.. Good thing if you get this done within few weeks.. as Ray from PFS is coming down for a tuning day (huntsville, cost anywhere from $400-800 pending dyno time).

I have some 1300s for sale or you could go 4 x 850s (I have 850s also).

You would need some form of tunable ecu as well.

He said he had a PFC. :icon_tup:

Listen to what Herblenny said. 400rwhp with stock twins is possible but pushing the limits with them.

RXtacy 01-14-2009 07:37 AM

Ha yea he did I read that post and completely skimmed over the PFC...
