Injector upgrade
I wanted to know if it was necessary to upgrade the fuel injectors after installing a new fuel pump? For instance a Walbro 255 pump.

You must list all your motor mods before that question can be answered . Intake ,exhast ,porting, computor ,modified twins, single ,on and on

No... Unless you have certain power range and boost.
|
like mentioned above, how much power do you want?

to get in the 400hp range at the wheels you will def. need larger injectors than stock.
|
400 RWHP stock turbos?? 400 at the engine is about 320-350 @ the wheel. At low to mid 300s, you might be ok with stock injectors but recommend to go bigger..
400 RWHP, I say its not good to try with stock twins. You could go with BNR stage 3 (BNR is local) or go single. But not with stock turbos.. Also, you would need a good tune when you get injectors swapped.. Good thing if you get this done within few weeks.. as Ray from PFS is coming down for a tuning day (huntsville, cost anywhere from $400-800 pending dyno time). I have some 1300s for sale or you could go 4 x 850s (I have 850s also). |
You would need some form of tunable ecu as well.

Listen to what Herblenny said. 400rwhp with stock twins is possible but pushing the limits with them. |
