Bushings!
The pillowballs in my car are shot, and the oem bushings are worn as well.
I'm pretty well decided that I am going to go with the Superpro bushings as replacements for oem rubber. For those of you who have replaced your bushings with superpro or another set do the new bushings replace any of the existing pillow balls? Also, do you recommend changing all of the bushings? How many pillow balls are there in the suspension? I would like to get this taken care of this summer so I'm trying to figure out all the parts I need ahead of time. I'm thinking the full superpro kit and new pillowballs. Thanks guys! |
swapped mine for super pros when i tore the car apart... didnt do the pillow balls tho

The bushings commonly known as pillowballs, are Mazda part #FD01-26-220 and there are 6 of them. Each needs 2 dust shields part number FD01-26-250. These parts are ONLY available from Mazda and there are no aftermarket replacements. The full superpro kit replaces every bushing in the suspension arms except for the pillowballs, and the rear lower control arm bushing, which must be from purchased from Mazda also.
