spark problem

IM NOT GETTING SPARK! trying to figure out why.

when i do the test procedure it sparks. but when i hook it back up and try to crank it its not. i know it worked when i pulled it apart. so i messed up something.

if anybody has any suggestions for me to try letme know. i will try just about anything at this point. its probably a simple fix that im just over looking.

i would like to know exactly what you did as well. Are you simpling using one of those illuminated spark plug testers?

Also, are you not getting spark for leading AND trailing?

How do you know its not sparking? Besides it wont start. That could be plenty of other stuff stopping that, so did you take it apart, test for spark, have spark then put it back together, it not start then check it again and you didnt? Or just assume you dont because it wont start once its back together?

A timing light will not show spark, even if it is working.

If both leading plugs are not in place, neither will spark.

If your tach works, you have spark. (unless the trailing coil is bad)
