ECU upgrade

Well I've changed my mind on selling my car and started ordering parts for her. I was wondering about ECU upgrades. I've heard alot about Rtek but I was wanting a little feedback from you guys about it. My car is an 87 Mazda RX7 SE. Currently stock.

Depends on what you want to do and how you want to do it.

The RTek2.1, is perfect for a little more tunability than a piggy back system, but doesn't have nearly as many inputs/outputs as after market ecu's. Basically on the S4 N/A you get one aux input, and one aux output (with the behavior of an RPM switch). I personally went this route as it provides more detail in tuning than an MS, but doesn't have the nice features that the MS has for the equal price.

Future upgrades are possible with the RTek (see the AFM delete, and other possibilities). It also has the benefit of using Palm devices as multigauges and datalogging. Compare that with other piggy back systems and ECU's you'll be hard pressed to find it.

I so far love the megasquirt but that is slightly beyond an "upgrade" and more of a "replacement"

NA power is zzzz, save up and go turbo. Unless of course you want a ported carbed motor. If only there was one local you could get .....

Coming to auto-x this weekend?

Sure I'll be there and I was told that at the next event in May I'll have to go up against "someone's" time. BTW I thought the ported carbed engine was loooong gone?
