Spring and wheel/tire clearance
There are some springs out there that have less clearance than the stock ones for wheels/tires, what are they? I have some tanabe gf310s i got for dirt cheap almost new but i need to fit 225s on a 35 offset.

Yep, Tanabe GF210(?) is one of them.
Tein S-Tech's are the other one. -Ted |

How much clearance is it going to take up for the tanabes?
|
I couldn't fit stock wheels and tires with me tiens, I had use some decent spacers to get clearence
|
With the GF210s when I ran TOYO T1Rs (225/50/16) I got some rubbing up front under extreme cornering, otherwise never noticed it. With the Falken RT615s (same size) I just put on I haven't noticed it at all, yet. The season is still young. :)

Wow, i didn't know that would even work with stock springs.
|
i had no problems with tein flex with stock TII wheels with 205's. I do know that an 8" wheel with 38 offset wont fit, but will fit stock struts

coilovers are the best option if your looking for clearence.
i myself have the Tein s-tech spring with FD wheels and a 20mm spacer up front. tires rub the srpings always. 225/50/16 also i got the same rubbing with the tanabe GF210 srpings. but now with cusco coilovers up front, i have room to spare. (245/40/18) all the coil overs i have seen for FC's have the small diameter coil spring like in the back. why dont they make the springs like that too!?!? |
Oh i'm going with stance GR+, but I got these tanabes for $20 brand new. Plus I have 2 FCs
