Hawk HPS 2/3 below cost

i just received the Hwak HPS's that i ordered from Pepboys the other day i got all 4 corners for under $50 thats $80 total. they are getting rid of all the Hawks for super cheap bc they are going to stop selling them bc they dont sell enough of them so get them cheap while you can and while they have them. also if you get the shopper card you get a discount for turning your rotors $6.99 each rotor. thought that you all would like some help saving money.

edit: this was for my 84 GSL-SE i also got them got a buddy's GSL

Good heads up.

Herblenny 05-21-2009 01:45 PM

cool! unfortunately, we don't have Pepboys here in in AL..

josh18_2k 05-21-2009 05:25 PM

is pepboys a sister company to something else? baxters, autozone, shucks, etc

Phoenix7 05-21-2009 06:21 PM

dunno, that sucks though. http://pepboys.know-where.com/pepboys/ in case anyone else wants to check for the nearest one.

Only 1 in Alabama?

Herblenny 05-21-2009 06:37 PM

My bad.. looks like there is one in Mobile, AL..

Phoenix7 05-21-2009 07:08 PM

Herblenny 05-21-2009 07:15 PM

Only downside, I live 40 miles away from the nearest store, and I have to drive up, pay for the pads, then wait a few days, and drive back up. But, for the price I was quoted, I guess it's worth the extra trip.......

there has always been one in the towns i live in lucky i guess! if you got a SE like me make you you have the correct part number the correct part numbers are
152F .540 and 158F .515 the first time that i went in they ordered me the ones for a GSL , sense i owed someone $35 i gave them the pads and they gave 10 and called even.

Rogue_Wulff 05-23-2009 01:55 AM

$43 + tax, for both ends. I can live with that.

hell thats less than what RB charges for 1 end. will they let you pay over phone or do you gotta go in?

I had to go in. That entailed a 40 mile drive (one way) to order/pay. I will have to make another 40 mile drive to pick up the pads.
But, as you stated, I paid less for both ends, than anyone else charges for one axle. It's worth the drive and cost of fuel, to save that much.
