Interested in your S5 Upper/lower manifold.
I am doing an 89 Turbo build from an 85 GLS-SE going into an 82 body, I have the 85 GSL-SE engine in there now with some mods done to it. I discovered the intake manifold is different. Any idea what other components will need to be swapped? I think I remember something about the Oil Pan. The car has been sitting at my mechanics forever and he is now making the time for the 'side' project. Anything I can find out in advance would be helpful. I have a street ported engine with no miles on the rebuild. We are leaving the turbo off for now to make sure we can get it going again first, will look into adding the turbo someday... It has been a long time, any advice is welcome! Thanks! |
That is a big project. I have done it before. Go to the evil forum (rx7forum) and seach under my name for a thread labeled- Chronicles of a 12a to 13b swap.. all the info including the wiring pinouts are there..
