Former SRT guy looking for a first rotary
Hi guys,
I've been on the SRtforums for a long time, and more recently RX7 club, and I figured i'd try here since it was recommended to me by Jim from Rotarydynamics.ca I'm currently in the market for a nice clean 7, but as I've waited this long, i'm taking my time to find the right car for the right price. Might have found it. I'll update you guys when / if it goes through. Matt |
First of all, welcome. 2nd, what gen ya looking for, FC?
|
Welcome to the rotary world, you will either love it or hate it....lol..
|
I'm looking for a nice FD. I think i may have found one.. just a matter of selling the wife on the idea of the mistress :D
Personally i think it's manageable.. she's financially conservative, and it's tough to convince her of the logic behind buying an FD... besides the fact that it will test my budgeting abilities to keep the sucker on the road, more than likely. |
Thats cool. FDs are the sex, but I figured SRT-4 owners are usally pretty young so thats why I thought FC :D
|
whats wrong with young responsible FD owners?

i was kinda young when i owned my FD, and i had to work really hard to get it. saved for 4 years. it was worth it and when i sold it it made a little money on it too :). if you are planning on making the fd your first rotary i would really do some research. i have seen many time the same story. someone wants an fd so they buy one, don't really know what they are getting into, it has a bunch of little problems that they don't know how to fix and neither dies a mechanic and then they end up selling the car a month after they got it.
|
well, i'm not exactly a kid anymore, i don't think. 29, high school music teacher, and with some mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn. I think i'll do alright. I just have to make friends with the right people :D
I've wanted an FD rx7 since they first hit the streets... went on my first test drive in one about 10 years ago, and i was sold. I just couldn't come up with the money, starting university at the time. So far JDK has been a great source of information and support, as well as various web forums. |
well, an update on the situation: my fd arrived yesterday evening, so in honor of that, i'm going to start a new thread!
