need brake lines
I am new , having trouble navigating site. Does anyone know if you can buy brake lines already bent to shape for an 88 non turbo RX 7. Thank You

Only dealers have such a part.
Finding a set from a junked chassis probably is easiest and cheapest. Check out the classifieds sections for people parting out whole cars. Else and "brake shop" can custom bend you a set. Parts are relatively cheap, and a tube bender is a cheap and simple tool. The flare tool is a bit more expensive, but any shop that does brakes all the time should not have a problem. -Ted |
You can buy pre-cut lines and bend them with your thumbs to match the rusty lines. It will probably not cost you more than $30.00 to replace all the rear lines.
I don't understand how the brake lines on RX7s can rust out, I have two with factory lines on them that are completely rust free (still coated with the polymer coating). My '90 has rusted brake lines so I know that they do rust, but I don't know how when they are protected inside the polymer coating. |
