New patch looms available

We now have patch harnesses available for the S6 FD. We'll be building these in house which gives us the ability to offer some customization that would not be available with the Haltech supplied patch looms - even if Haltech had an FD patch loom. :) These harnesses will work well for those who want to keep the stock engine loom but want a full programmable standalone. Price will be $250 over the regular cost of the flying lead kit (either S1k or S2k). We will also have a Sprint 500 RE version available when that ECU is introduced.

On that note, for those that haven't heard already, Haltech is bringing out a line of rotary specific ECUs. Based on the Platinum Sport 1k and 2k as well as the all new budget level Sprint 500 these ECUs will have several features not currently available on the standard versions. Look for (finally!) Renesis crank trigger support and a third stage of injection among other things. Availability should be sometime late 09 early 2010. The currently available base Sprint 500 does not support any of the rotary triggers at this time so we'll need to wait for the RE version to try them on a rotary engine.

For the piston guys we also have Sprint 500 patch looms available for the NA and NB Miata.

Any more info on the rotary specific ecus? Announcement or forum links?

It will be at least SEMA before any real info is available. I think the only big thing you're going to see with the Sport RE is Renesis trigger support and possibly a 3rd injection stage.

The Sprint RE will be essentially the same as the Sprint 500 but will have rotary trigger support.

The new CDI boxes are simply the same tried and true M&W units in a newer case and rebadged as Haltech.

Here is a pic of an FD patch loom. This particular loom is setup to use the stock sensors with the exception of an external MAP sensor. Has provisions for boost control and WBO2 input.
