What is a TII driveline worth?
 

Found local guy that wants to unload a TII motor and manual tranny. Said both were running condition when they came out of the car. Whats a fair price on this? I can get it for $500?

JDM engine and trans go for ~$1500 shipped. Used TII trans usually go for ~$200 alone so $500 sounds like a really good deal as long neither has major problems.

yeah, thats a steal if its a long block. get comp numbers since it still has a tranny attached. and pm me if you want to make a little money. i need a good used Tii motor...

Jump on that. You're getting it at 25% what it's worth assuming it is in running condition, the tranny shifts, compression is good etc etc etc. Get the ECU, wiring harness, oil cooler, downpipe etc etc and sell it to some guy who wants to do a turbo swap. Double you're money and make someone else incredibly happy as well.

Go ahead and give him my number.

So I am picking it up Thursday. Its a complete pullout from alt-to IC to tranny. HAs 143k and was running when came out. He said it started smoking (guessing oil control rings) so he had Hinson do a swap for him. I tried to low ball him but he wouldnt go for it..
This will be my core for the rx3..

Hell , I might sell my s5 tii block , harness and ecu soon.. Glad I seen this lol atleast now I have a idea how to price this.. And no.. Not 500 buck's. Good find by the way..

I know.. right... What's even funnier is I told him I was next to him going down a certain road last year and gave him thumbs up, I was driving my C2 996 porsche.. oops... He wasnt going to let me take a $1 off after that.

So I went and saw the motor and it looks VERY clean. I didnt have my compression tester with me so I am going back to test it and then buy it. I just want the short block so I will have many parts for sale off it like ac, manifold,turbo, intake, tb etc...
