What type of premix are you using?

Running a FPR? Return style, or dead-headed?

I cannot see how premix would damage the seals, since they are supposedly able to withstand gasoline. If anything, the premix should actually reduce wear inside the pump, since it would allow lubrication of anything that is exposed to the fuel.

Dead-headed systems can actually cause the pump to run hot, since the fuel flowing thru it is not moving as quickly as a return style system. The fuel flow helps to cool the pump. A pump that gets hotter, is more likely to have problems over the same pump in a system that allows the pump to run cooler.

Also, with more fuel supplies becoming tainted with ethanol, more fuel pumps are damaged by the corrosive effects of the ethanol.
