Scott, Thanks much for the offer. Bill was supposed to send me a set, lemme PM him and see where we're at. He was also supposed to look into some D510C coils which I REALLY wanna get my hands on but I'm a little hesitant to spend coin on more coils, although they may outperform the Bosch soooooooooooo.... I dunno

I dyno the cars before we load them into the race trailer with NEW coils and when we get back from a race weekend the cars go straight back onto the dyno before any work is performed. What I have been seeing all last season is that even though the car still feel fast and pulls well the car is down on power after every race. I simply pull the coils and replace them w/ NEW OEM coils and guess what the power is back to where we started. I have a good friend that works with Speedsource and he has also has seen the same results. So back to where this started. I believe even though you may have decent used RX8 OEM coils I would suggest tested NEW OEM coils for your baseline. Hope this helps and I didn't mean take your post over..
Tom, don't worry about taking over the thread, that's good information right there. As far as I know the coils aren't cheap, and as interesting as it would be to dyno back to back with new coils, I'm not sure the cost justify the results ONLY because most people aren't running around on brand new coils.
Out of curiosity though, how much of a drop do you seen after the race? And does the power continue to fall off or does it fall off considerably after one race, and then not so much after the others.
I thought you were running the D585 coils on your race car? What ever happened with that little project?
