If you think it costs a bazillion dollars to turbocharge an RX-8, price doing a GOOD single turbo conversion on an FD. Or anything else on an FD for that matter.
The RX-8 is a good car, but Mazda did all they could to squeeze out as much HP without boost as they could, some would say at the expense of reliability.
Get an Accessport, that can help a little. If nothing else, you can put on a MAP that will get you extra MPG. Also, you can check and clear CEL's.
