LunchboxCritter is on a distinguished road
We have an 04 rx8 and we've only gotten it flooded once (in 3 yrs of owning it) moving it around in the driveway and it didn't reach operating temp. If you find that your car won't start after being moved or driven a short time, (keep your 8 long enough and you will eventually face this problem), all you have to do to deflood it is hold the gas pedal to the floor and turn the key (start) for 10 seconds, wait 5 seconds, then turn the key again for 10 sec. You'll know when it finally gets unflooded it will start, then let off the gas pedal and let it idle. It will smoke like crazy for a few minutes (that's normal, don't freak out).

We never gas the car while it's cold and have never had to do that to shut it down either.

FYI: look on www.RX8Club.com for more information on your car, and enjoy it.
