What does this rubber piece on the end of the primary fuel rail do? Is it bad that it falls off easily? Can it be repaired? Has anyone else ever experienced this same thing?

They worked just fine when I removed them. I sold them to someone and when they got them that little piece felll off.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
