the Rx8 MOP is explained in the service highlights book. off the top every couple of engine starts the ecu puts the pump thru its range, so it isn't checked in real time like the 89-2003 pumps.

we set my haltech to run the mop (it was a 20B), the haltech can RUN a stepper motor, but the position sensor is a problem, because its monitored somewhere else, and you can't do anything EXCEPT log it. so if the MOP took a crap, there is no limp home, no CEL....
