I only replaced the bulb, that's it! Not the housing or anything else, just the bulb. I'm starting to think that maybe there is something stuck. I know a screw snapped in two and went AWOL during the procedure, but after nearly 30 minutes looking for it I had to assume that it simply fell through and rolled away under the car. There is absolutely no sign of it anywhere, not even after grabbing the search magnet + flashlight
I'm really hoping that's not the case because at this point, it would probably require taking the entire assembly apart.
They are stock headlights.

Tried that. We disconnected it a few times while we were manually cranking it to see if it would reset itself somehow.
