Although this is most likely not the problem because lots of headlight housings wind up with condensation in them because they are poorly sealed or have a crack somewhere. I suppose this could cause the light not work if you had exposed wire somewhere and it shorted.
2. Your bulb is just plain burned out and you need a new one. Go buy a new bulb and see if that fixes it.
