What are you trying to get into? Fire Science/Forensics?

My step dad teaches those classes around the country sometimes. He was in Boston last month and Oklahoma a few months back, and has a regular semester Fire Science/Hazmat class he teaches at the local community college. When he retires, he wants to move down here somewhere and do freelance Arson Investigation.
