I completely understand why they've cancelled the rest of the year's activities and are (I'm sure) scaling back next years events as well. Another by-product of the economic down-turn. I don't remember the last major recession affecting me very much (early 90s) because I was too young to know what was going on and for the beginning of the 2000s I was still in college so everyone I knew had no money. 
Now it's a different matter. I can't make any of the meets 90 miles down the road b/c of the cost of gas, oil (for PM work), groceries, and health care costs. Let alone drop another $60 for tickets to an event for my family. |
Not the reason it was cancelled. Nopi as a company has officially gone belly up. All of their events have been cancelled, not just the Nationals. Not investing $ back into the company & employees. Investing it into your own personal wants & greeds, the younger Mr. Myers screwed over a company that his father had worked so hard to build.
