The bracket mounts the two stock trailing coils and the sec gen leading coil in a clear space below the steering shaft .The plug wires will be short and the coils are out of the heat .There should not be any trouble with water being a problem if all the connections are sealed .I have had my coils mounted low for many years and no shorting in the rain.
