ive worked on this before in a RHD and yes they are a bitch

That steering column makes it damn near impossible to remove the turbos
but it can be done without undoing the steering rack or the knuckle ( the piece that connects the steering column to the rack, i think the same thing you call a intermediate shaft)

i found the hardest part was getting the oil drain pipes unbolted but you have to keep working on it cause removing the knuckle isnt necessary and will only require you to do an alignment when back together.

But if you insist on removing it it loosens on both ends under the boot and can be slid up or down off one of the pinions then slid the other way off the other. hope that made sense.
