1. To help scavaging
2. To reduce heat
3. I think it will give the exhaust a lower tone.
Is there any problem with not putting the heat shields back on?

if you're still going to use the TII tranny with your 20B then keep it and use it...I don't see you prematurely wearing out the clutch at 375hp...unless you like to drag race.
As far as the heatshields......that's a tough call. If you get the really good wraps (cool to the touch) then the shields would just be useless. Also, I assume this car will never see a wet road, right? don't forget some wraps rot when they're wet and it could eventually damage the exhaust.
Did you ever dyno your SC setup?
