However, being a 6-port turbo...... I would try to find one of those intercoolers with the in/out on the same side. Shift the intercooler over to one side and have the piping run together. Actually weld it together would look pretty slick, In my mind anyway. |
Normally I would but the ability to run front mount opens up a lot of possibilities that wouldn't readily be available to me otherwise. Not denying that absolute beauty of a V mount but I'm rearranging the entire engine bay already so doing a front mount shouldn't be all that much more difficult.
I'm thinking about just cutting the holes just infront of the windshield washer reservoir and then plumbing it all together. The intercooler I currently have is perfect for my needs but the fitment isn't exactly spectacular (the price however was just right).
I would normally consider picking up a new intercooler as you have described but funds are going to be a little tight since I'm rebuilding my engine. I think I have the pipe mapped out in my head, but I would still appreciate pictures and the works of different F/V/H mount setups.
